death and pain have been busy of late. so much loss...I am praying often, wondering--natural disasters notwithstanding--how we are going to evolve, learn to coexist. I meditate and hear the birds, hear my sweet old dog yawning--and much more, so many blessings.
people talk of "American Idol", the campaign, and the fact that gas/food prices are rising.
what am I really hearing? what is the right message for me to heed?

"Let us learn the secret language of light again.
Also the letters of the dark.
Learn the flight patterns of birds,
the syllables of wolf howl and bird song,
the moving pantomime of branch and leaf,
valleys and peaks of whale calls,
the long sentences of ants moving in unison,
